Hi! My name is Isabella, and I recently graduated from the International Baccalaureate programme. Before starting university to study Children’s Nursing, I would love to spend my gap year as an au pair in Spain.
I have always loved the idea of living with a family abroad and becoming part of their everyday life. For me, being an au pair is not only about helping with childcare. It is also about building a real connection, sharing cultures, learning from each other, and hopefully having lots of fun along the way.
I have experience caring for children of different ages through babysitting, tutoring, church childcare, volunteering with children in refugee camps, and helping to look after my younger sister. I am comfortable helping with homework, preparing simple meals, doing school drop-offs and pick-ups, playing games, swimming, baking, arts and crafts, or simply spending time together.
I really enjoy being around children because they are funny, creative, honest, and full of energy. I am patient and caring, but I also understand the importance of routines, boundaries, and making sure children feel safe and supported.
I am First Aid trained and a qualified lifeguard, which has taught me to stay calm, responsible, and aware in different situations. I have also worked in housekeeping and hospitality, so I am organised, hardworking, and happy to help with light household tasks as part of family life.
I have grown up in eight different countries, so I am used to adapting to new places, cultures, and ways of life. I speak English fluently, some Arabic, and a little Spanish and Italian. I am especially excited to improve my Spanish by using it every day, as I believe the best way to learn a language is by living it.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, cooking, baking, reading, spending time outdoors, going to the beach, exploring new places, and meeting new people. I would describe myself as friendly, easy-going, caring, and reliable. I love having a laugh, but I also know when to be serious and responsible.
